As you can tell, I got out of the habit of posting. I am going to get that habit back.
I have started new journeys, and I need to journal my journeys 🙂
My mudrun/workout journey is still going on. I started kickboxing at 9Round, and it is so much fun! I get to hit and kick things to get out my frustrations!
I decided to try cosplay, too. Cosplay is a newish word made from COStume PLAY. If you’ve ever seen a comicon, you’ve seen Cosplay. Basically you make a costume of characters from books, movies, TV, comics, anime, anything. I have been learning to do a few different things related to this. I’ve started making foam armor, and enjoying it (even though it definitely is a learning process). I’ll be writing about this journey, too.
In the process of doing Cosplay, I will need to learn to sew, cut & style wigs, do makeup, draw, and use a lot of patience. I’ll be writing about these things, too.
Since my last post over 6 months ago weird things have been going on in the world. We have a pandemic going on, protests & riots, early hurricanes, fires, murder hornets, locusts, an asteroid heading close to Earth, and more. Remember, we aren’t even halfway through the year. We have plenty of time for zombies, AIs/robots taking over, who knows what else.
During the pandemic I have been lucky enough to stay working. I work at a self-serve take-out yogurt place & because we are take-out we have been able to stay open (and get paid!) The hours have been cut so I have had time to do more things.
I am also working on 2 different cross-stitch projects, one at work for the slow times ( I am 2/3 done) and one at home that I have been working on off & on for a couple of years. I’m going to make things for an etsy store. Starting with ankle scarves. Yes, I said ankle scarves. They are exactly what you think, and no, I have no idea why it has become such a fad. I will take advantage of it, though. I have a couple of other ideas I am working on to make.
I was asked to make face masks in the beginning of the panic, and I didn’t do it because I never thought it would last this long. Now I have decided to work on my sewing, and can’t find a machine. The ones I am looking at are either out of stock, or the prices went way up, so I am hand sewing. Challenging
Anyway, I am back and will be adding pictures of everything I am doing.
