It’s been an interesting week. At work the parking lane on the street was shut down for the weekend. They started doing this so the restaurants can expand onto the sidewalks and people can walk in that lane to provide social distance from the people eating. The restaurants were required to submit plans of how they were going to utilize the sidewalk, as well as a consideration fee. As far as I can tell none of them did it, but they still close down the lane. It absolutely poured down rain for almost the whole weekend, so there weren’t many walkers or bicyclists using the lane. Didn’t do our business any good at all 🙁
Sunday the primary register went down. The other register can’t boot up without the primary, so I had to go in on my day off to try and fix it. No can do, the register would only power up for 2 seconds before dying again. I called the company that makes the registers and they had me do all the things I already did before deciding that we really did have an issue and needed a tech.
The store finally got hurricane windows today. We were the last store on the street to get them. I had to be at work at 8am to unlock the door. Waaaay to early!! They pulled out the old windows and door, and were working on it all day. I couldn’t open the store because of the construction dust and they blocked the whole front of the store. I couldn’t even get most of my work done because I couldn’t take the chance of getting the dust in the yogurt. I did manage to finally clean the neon signs that hang in the front window. I’ve been trying to get to them for years! They will be back at 8am (again?!) tomorrow
Found out that there was some sort of conflict with the tech from yesterday & I’m not even going to go into all the crap I heard about it today. But the tech is coming back tomorrow at 9am. Another early night for me tonight
