I’ve finally decided to push myself to do a mud run! My gym opens in a few weeks & I spoke to a trainer, Eduardo, about having him work with me to do it. I have also PAID to Mud Factor – Miami. October 26th in the 12:30 heat! That’s about 5 months, I can get in shape by then, and even if I don’t do well, I will have done it!!! I have told everyone at work that I am doing this and taking both Saturday and Sunday off. I’m pretty sure I will need the next day to recover! Maybe just recover from the adrenaline rush, but I’ll need to recover from something 😊
I started adding short runs into my walks. Rob says he’ll help with my breathing. My friend, Esther, told me last month that she would help me with running if I ever wanted to start. Eduardo will be my trainer at The Gym, I’m going to get an appointment with him once a month so he can tell me what I’m doing wrong (or right) and tell me what to work on for the next month. Sean, from our property management company, got super-excited because he likes to do them himself. He said to let him know when and he would sign up, too. He is so excited for me & gives me more energy. I’ll let him know tomorrow. I am so blessed to have such amazing people that are so willing to help me with my personal journeys.
I’ve been doing some exercising with Cherie at work. 3 times a week we do laps from the front door to the bathroom door and back. Each lap we do something different. First lap is knee lifts, the next is kicks, then walking lunges, I’ll add in more later, I don’t want to overwhelm Cherie.
Today was a lazy day. I didn’t even get dressed. I did some needlework, read a couple of books, watched TV with hubby, but did the most important thing…I started writing this journal!!
