I started the Shimmering Mermaid a few years ago, but time and lack of workspace got in the way. After starting Sherry’s Creations, I realized I miss doing my big projects. After hunting around to see where I put the pattern, supplies, partially complete project, and the frames I like to use while working, I started back into my current project.
This is the first picture I took of my progress. I had it in a scroll frame, which is my favorite type of frame to work with. Plus, the pictures usually look great because it is stretched taut.
Apparently, I didn’t take a picture when I put it away, because all of the stitching on the tail was done when I found it. I had the scroll work in the lower right corner, and the north and south points of the compass in the lower left corner done.
The rest of the compass and the scroll work further in the lower left corner I just finished today.
You can see why I like the scroll frame for pictures 🙂 The colors look a little different, I guess it’s because it’s a different camera? The first picture has the right colors. I’m hoping to finish it soon. Then I’ll have to learn how to frame it. Hmmmm
