I am making baby layettes in 6 different colors. Baby blue, mint green, pale pink, yellow, lavender and white are going to be my starter group for sales. I’ve seen a few others that I think will be cute, but I don’t want to overextend myself and get frustrated because I can’t finish in a reasonable amount of time. I am making 2 sets of each color, and 2 extra of the blue
as gifts for 2 people I know.
I am trying to decide how I want to sell them. A layette consists of sacque (jacket), bonnet, booties and a small blanket. I don’t know if I want to include the afghan or sell separate. Or both. Or each piece individually. I have made all the booties, am working on the sacque, then bonnets, and finally the afghans. This way I will do all of the same type and won’t have to refer back to the pattern as often. I’m saving the afghans for last in case I can’t get them done in time to include them in a package deal.
