I am feeling better, still somewhat overwhelmed, but better.
I am spending at least part of my days off with my friend that is leaving in a few days. I still have other things I need to do, but she is leaving, I can do the other stuff next week.
I started doing a tiny bit of cosplay. I cut out 6 squares to try and make a cube. I really need to work on my cutting technique, two of my squares have a warped side 🙁 I think I will be more enthusiastic about doing cosplay when I get better at the cutting, gluing, etc. I need to feel that I actually am capable of doing these things, I think that will bring my enthusiasm level up. Another part of the problem is that I don’t necessarily have a goal in mind. I can’t think of a single character that I want to dress as. When I started, I had an idea of a couple of book characters or characters that I see, but although it is perfectly acceptable in the cosplay community, hubby really wants me to do a prominent character from a video/computer game. Any one, but it needs to be prominent. His idea is that I can make stuff to order and make money on the road.
I have finished a couple more of the ornaments, and sold or given them as Christmas gifts. Working on another new one, a shamrock. I’m going to try alternating them. Make one that I already have made so I can build stock for the Etsy store, then make a new and different one…probably to sell, then have to make it again for the store 🙂
I sold the pineapple ornament to a friend, and he asked me to make it into a refrigerator magnet for is daughter. No idea how to do that, but looked around, got a couple of sheets of magnetic adhesive sheets, figured it out, now I can make them into magnets!!
I got a couple of new skorts. I really like skorts, I can wear shorts that fit and don’t fall down, but there is a skirt covering the close-fitting shorts. I’m starting to feel cute again.
Work is still annoying, but I am getting closer to making money without them. Still can’t pay rent without them, but when I can pay my personal bills without them, we should be ready to hit the road!!
