I got my outfit and accessories finished and didn’t have to do any really last minute things. I don’t consider the weekend before as last minute no matter what Rob says 🙂
I made the pearl necklace, the earrings, and the purse. I strung the pearl beads on crochet cotton and added an old-fashioned looking clasp. The earrings were shank buttons, those are the type without visible holes, the part for attaching is raised on the back. I sanded that off, and glued pierced earring posts to the back.
The purse was made of dense crafting foam. I modeled it after something I remember my grandmother using. I had to get some help from hubby to make and attach the strap, but I think it worked great!
