I have a few things that I do to keep myself moving. Some are strange, some normal, but they all accomplish what I need. Motivation.
I play PokeMon Go.
I do virtual walks, runs, etc, I love those medals! (Hubby made me a place to hang them up to help keep me motivated.) These walks have pictures of things you see along your walking route. I am halfway through the Appalachian Trail series, and I have seen some gorgeous views. I’ve walked through different countries & seen things I doubt I’ll ever get to see in person. It’s fun!
I also do a thing called Run the Year where you are to run or walk the number of miles of the year. This year the goal is to run/walk 2019 miles. Last year my goal was 100 miles per month, and I ended up with 1300 miles. Did great! This year my goal is to get 1500 miles. I’m a little behind, but I am still ahead of last year. The Run the Year group also started an Amerithon, this one is to walk/run/bike/whatever across the USA. I am only logging my FitBit miles on all of these. The Amerithon starts in San Francisco and travels down California, through the Grand Canyon, and ends up in Washington, DC. I started this on January 1st this year and I just hit the Grand Canyon! 836 miles down, 2,685 to go 😊 I’ll be posting my progress, and maybe post some pictures of my badges
